The foundation! Ballet classes are offered from a beginner to advanced level. This fundamental training system teaches proper posture and technique, while conditioning the body through barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor progressions. Beginner classes introduce vocabulary, body alignment, improve strength of the legs and feet, increase extension and flexibility. Ballet is required to participate in other technique classes.
MOMMY & ME BALLET
A technique class varying in style from class to class. While developing style, class will include such elements as kicks, leaps, turns, and splits. Embedded within the class will be a warm-up, stretch and strengthening exercises, floor work or across the floor progressions in addition to a center floor combination.
A dance style involving rhythm, dynamics, and varying sounds. Tappers will have a graduated warm-up to improve strength, coordination and control in ankles and knees for proper execution of skills, across the floor progressions and center floor work to learn and perfect.
Whether it’s old school, Nuschool or just vibing to a beat, hip-hop class is a dynamic way to develop power, personal style, coordination, rhythm, athleticism, confidence, focus and memory all while having a blast. Hip-hop will be offered for beginner and intermediate/adv.
Lyrical, contemporary, and modern dance are classes that will be provided to teach students to uses the emotion and mood of the music to elicit movements. While developing technique, dancers will learn artistry, breath, control, balance and being grounded. The class includes floor work, progressions, and center combinations.
Teaches strength, flexibility, and tumbling. Gymnastics and core skills include, but are not limited to, splits, bridges, forward rolls, walkovers, limbers, handsprings, chest stands, cartwheels/round offs, handstands, aerials and more.
